This absolutely stunning colorful coat started life as two gorgeous Dutch vintage blankets from the 1960's that were just too beautiful to stay folded away in someone's closet. These blankets have that incredible thick, fluffy feel that only real wool can give you — the kind of quality and craftsmanship that they just don't make anymore. They were in fantastic condition and practically begging for a second life as something spectacular.

We couldn't resist adding a playful twist to funk up that classic straight design, so we incorporated leftover tulle fabric as transparent orange and light blue ruches that are sewn right into the sleeves. It's like having little bursts of color and texture dancing along your arms — completely unexpected and absolutely delightful.

By rescuing these beautiful 60's blankets and giving them this completely new chapter, we get to create fashion that's kinder to our planet while celebrating the incredible quality of vintage materials. And because this coat is born from these two specific blankets plus our leftover tulle scraps, you'll truly be wearing something that nobody else in the world will have.
