JANA MARIE CARIDDI
BEDROOM INTERVIEW WITH JANA MARIE CARIDDI
(SLUMBER PARTY STYLE)
12.06. // 8PM CET
LIVE STREAM @studio183_berlin
Jana Marie Cariddi is a Berlin based installation artist and painter. Jana’s work explores themes of archetypical femininity, childhood, and expressing identity through tangible objects and spaces. Imagination, pattern and decoration are pivotal to her colorfully charged dream-scapes and even her bedroom.
Our bedrooms are humble abodes in which we can let ourselves fully dream without inhibition. They house our wildest (day) dreams as well as our most transient (night) dreams. It is where our subconscious can harmonise with our conscious. Through beloved objects, old photographs and personal relics, our bedrooms become not just a burrow for sleep, but a magical space in which we can quench the thirst of our creativity. Or at least this is how Jana sees it.
In this STUDIO183 online hangout we can get an intimate glimpse inside her paintings, her process and her inner world. So pull out the bunny slippers and popcorn and join us for a live interview in full slumber party style! She will be open to all questions - from processes in her art practice to her most intimate memories.
